The game seems to be as easily playable as on the PS3. The graphics look amazing and it even seems that in this version the sackboys and girls are getting new moves. Lets hope that the game really is how it looks in the video!

Now of course it wasn’t a real big surprise to hear that they announced a new character, but what made it a surprise was that it was the monk.

The Monk seems to be a mix between the Diablo II assassin and the paladin, combining agile attacks which look like magic and martial arts.

He uses many of the abilities which can be seen in old asian martial arts movies. I think this character will be a big hit with everyone since we all like to go pew pew martial arts on someone’s ass.

The tactic of the monk is a bit like the one of the assassin in Diablo II. Attack the foe as fast and as hard as you can and then move away, rinse and repeat.

So the monk, the fourth character in Diablo III seems to be very fitting to the game and seems to be a lot of fun. What is next!

For this review I am going to try something new, a new style of explaining a movie.

What I want to do is review the movie by going from genre to genre. I might create some overlapping content but I don’t think it will be so troublesome.

Let us start with action, which is the movies main genre. The movie starts off at a slow pace, Jason Statham who plays the main character Chev Chelios , lying on his bed and suddenly waking up. He feels strange, like something is wrong and tries to get up and starts to feel really bad. He is getting pains in his heart. He then sees a CD which contains video footage of the night before. It seems then that he has been inserted with some Chinese drug. After hearing this he turns red of rage and start smashing everything. During the rest of the movie he pursues into many battles raging from fist fights to pistol carnage. When seeing the  action that is present in the movie I sort of feel that it could described similarly to just going on a random rampage killing spree in the game GTAIV.

Let’s move onto insanity. I marked this movie with a genre of insanity because of the things that happen. Some of the action in this movie seems so unreal that you would actually mark it as insane!! I am not sure if there is that much insanity in the movie but I do feel that this genre should be in the description of the movie just because it is Crank.

Comedy, ah yes… in every action movie we can find some comedy factors. In Crank, comedy is seen everywhere. Because of the feeling of the unreal action, you sort of feel like some of it is funny. When Chev (Jason Statham) goes to his girlfriends house to get her to safety he suddenly has to do a lot of house chores because his girlfriend is not ready yet. He slowly realizes that his heart is going to stop again. Inventively he picks up a waffle iron, sticks his hand in it and closes it, this giving him an adrenaline rush which makes his heart pump blood again.

Sex… These days no movie is good without a little bit of sex in it. In Crank, however, you can combine the sex with a hint of action and a flair of comedy. I will not go more into the details about sex in this movie but these scenes are ones that you won’t easily forget.

Romance, the one genre you wouldn’t think to find in a movie like Crank. Well, even with such a diverse movie when it comes to its genres, romance does play a part. Here you have to think of the relationship between him and his girlfriend Eve. Even  though he looks, acts like a coldblooded killer he still does go his girlfriend and tries to makes things right. In my eyes an assassin like himself would have just left her, even better… would not have gotten a girlfriend, but of course this guy does. Romance is not seen a lot through out the movie, and when it pops up it doesn’t stay for long.

Crank, a movie that I have watched many many times over, still enjoying it as much as the first time I saw it.

As you can see in the screenshot shown above, Total Commander has the look and feel of an old trustworthy application. When looking at the interface you have a feeling that this program has been around since the dawn of day, which is true.

Very long ago, I think in 1998, I used this program on my very slow and funky computer to be able to zip up files, extract them and transfer files easily. This program was a very good alternative for the people who hated the windows explorer.

The program has many tools (many that I haven’t used) but the main reason why I am still using this program is because of the ease of setting up a FTP connection. I use Total Commander to get on my website and to transfer the needed files. Within a few seconds I had setup my connection to my host and within another few seconds I found myself on the FTP server browsing around.

The double screen, as seen above, make it easy to drag and drop files to the location of your wishes.

If you want a lightweight ftp/more program and don’t know which of the many program to download, I would suggest you give Total Commander a try. You can download the program at this link. On this page choose one of the many links and download the program. For those that really like it, please register it. The program is of course free of use, the only thing that you have to do is go through a little window when starting up the program which will ask you to click a certain number (ranging from 1 to 3).

Section 8, developped by TimeGate Studios and published by SouthPeak Interactive, is a game which takes the form of a futuristic shooter game.

If you have ever played futuristic shooters then this game will remind you a bit of Tribes. The players are divided into two teams and each team has a unique outfit. Each player is covered in a full metal or alloyd suit.

The suit gives the player unique abilities. The first one is that wearing the suit will make you able to run at a very high speed. This ability needs to be charged up which is done by sprinting. Once the bar is full the high speed will activate. Once this is happening you will see an extra bar appear which will slowly drain as long as you are running at full speed.

The second ability the suit gives a player is a short time jetpack. You will be able to boost yourself for a short time giving you the possibility to get ontop of buildings, mountains, rumble, etc…

In the game you will be able to select from several combinations of weapons and enhancements. You can also create your own combination and save it. You will be able to switch combinations during the game and when you die. You can so create different kinds of combinations for either defending or attacking.

Whenever you kill an enemy, capture a base, defends a base, etc… you will earn points/ressources. You will be able to turn these into spawnable buildings such a turret or a armor/heal station. You can also save up your points and save for like a big robot suit. Making the right choices can make a big difference between winning or losing the game! The structures will be shot down from the dropships and be deployed at the spot that you want them to be, be warned that these spots can only be outside. The robot suit will be brought to you by a dropship.

Section 8 will also have a single player side, for now this side of the game remains unknown as this was not available in the Beta. All that I know is that it will have a story line.

The multiplayer side of the game will allow PC players to join server using the new Microsoft X-Server functionality. This will allow server to have up to 40 active players/bots. In the multiplayer, players will not spawn on the map but instead will drop from their orbital dropships to a self marked location on the map. Be sure to watch out where you drop because dropping in an enemy base will most likely result in death (unless the anti-air system has been destroyed).

The goal of each multiplayer map (in the Beta) is to reach an X amount of points. This can be done by either capturing bases (there are 4 in a map) or by doing the Dynamic Combat Missions (DCMs). A DCM is a specific mission which can be triggered by a player. Some DCMs will include protecting a convoy, destroying a bridge, or assassinating an enemy character.

PLOT:

“The name “Section 8″ derives from an old United States military discharge regulation for reason of being mentally unfit for service, and also refers to the 8th Armored Infantry in the game.

Section 8 takes place in the future after the human race has discovered interstellar travel and has colonized across the galaxy. At the time of the game, a group called the ARM of Orion, has begun to ‘disconnect’ the outermost frontier planets from the main governing body, taking them over while keeping their presence hidden from the government. As space travel is slow, it often takes weeks to communicate with or travel to a frontier world, affording the ARM with enough time to seize worlds and build their base of power, ultimately preparing an ambush for the government forces that will eventually respond. The government then discovers the ARM of Orion, and sends in the 8th Armored Infantry, including Alex Corde (the player), on a mission to investigate, and presumably fight, the ARM invasio”
