This fascinating hybrid of real-time strategy and collectible card battling offers a unique and enjoyable take on both genres.
When I first started up Battleforge, I thought to myself what kind of a game am I starting up now.
After logging in and seeing the very graphic intense splash screen I came to a sort of arena type place. I saw alot of familiar options, such as a menu, chat windows etc. Soon after I realized that this was a place where you could create your deck, test it out against self spawned enemies and tweak it to perfection. I was very intrigued by the game and wanted to start playing the campaign co-op maps with my cousin.
Once in the game I was astonished by the graphics, the quick play, and the ease at how everything was going.
As you can see in the picture, the game packs an easy layout. When you want use one of your cards you just click on the card, and deploy the units/structure where the marker is.
Not only does the game have a co-op function it also has a PVP (player versus player) side. Here players battle against each other in epic battles. The more you fight the more experience you will and money you will make. With experience you will gain ranks which will allow you to upgrade your cards against a small cost.
The game also uses a specific currency called Battleforge Points. These are acquired by either buying them from the website for a small real life money price, or by trading away cards in the Marketplace to other players.
This game has proven to me to be a great game. It has served me a lot of hours of pleasure and will do so also in the future.
The game itself is Free to Play, just visit the website, register, download and you are ready for the adventure!
